Onboarding Procedures
After completing our preliminary forms and informed consent, patients learn more about shockwave therapy and its positive effects. You’ll receive written documentation about the procedure, and we will answer any questions you might have before signing.
Our team reviews the forms and discusses the main concern and care focus with you. She makes sure you understand the procedure, and addresses any concerns you may have before proceeding.
Once consent is given, our doctor examines you to determine your condition. Range of motion testing is done to check for any limitations. After explaining details about shockwave therapy, she will help you compare it to other treatment options, and point out the differences that exist.
The trial session lasts between 5-10 minutes, depending on the area to be treated. Our doctor may treat multiple joints in a session. We’ll also do a mini-evaluation after the session to determine if you notice any difference. Most patients do. Please allow 20-30 minutes for a full visit.
On your next visit, our team will ask you how you felt after treatment, and if there’s anything new or different today, before treatment begins. On subsequent visits, she may have you do some range of motion exercises or prescribe at-home exercises as part of your care plan.
Financial Responsibility
Our assistant will go over the available financial options with you—discount for full payment in advance, two installments, or pay per visit. Once you decide to move forward with care, the decision on payment is up to you.
